Nigerian Youth Connect to Work Workshops to Cover Five States in February

The Cellulant ‘Nigerian Youth Connect to Work’ program started its series of countrywide workshops at the end of January in partnership with GBF and Corporate Farmers International. This is a program that aims to employ 1M youth into agribusiness by 2025. It is supported by the Mastercard Foundation’s Young Africa Works.

Last week on 16th February, over 1500 students and youth from Kazaure, Jigawa State gathered at the Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic to discover, connect and engage with some of the biggest players in the Agriculture and Retail Value Chains; Distributors, Wholesalers, Retailers, Logistic Companies, Market leaders, Food Processors and Financial actors in Jigawa State.

The event elicited so much online conversation that the event hashtag #ConnectToWorkKazaure became the number one trending hashtag in Nigeria on Saturday.

Nigerian Youth Connect To Work Workshops Goes to 5 States

This month, the program will run workshops in 5 states with the aim of sensitizing the youth on Agribusiness, Agritech and the numerous job opportunities that the youth can plug into.

1. Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic– Kazaure, Jigawa State
